A new home for a single occupant
A home built to take advantage of the spectacular views of the channel islands and the Pacific ocean. The south ocean facing side is glass while the street side gives privacy from neighbors who look down into the site. The design is organized on an bilateral division both in plan, section and elevation. The public area is designed to be open, and take advantage of views and the roof soars to the light and view. The private space creates privacy with exterior materials being dark dark wood. Punched openings frame views while protecting privacy.
